DeLay resigns! Marilyn stays?

Tom DeLay resigns, after creating a huge, corrupt money laundering machine. No word yet on whether the beneficiaries of the DeLay Machine - such as Marilyn Musgrave - will resign as well out of shame and for the sake of decency. As the Daily DeLay puts it:
The story tonight is that a politician reached too far, broke too many rules and laws, and people had enough. They had enough around the country and they had enough in his district.
And they've had enough in Colorado of the antics of the gay-baiting grandstander who once said:
I support Tom DeLay because of his success and stewardship in creating change, which, as a result, have made him a prime target for several slanderous claims.
It's time for Marilyn to explain to us constituents why she would make such an outrageous statement. And why she would vote to protect this corrupt bully from the accountability he so richly deserves.

Marilyn Musgrave has proven she's a stooge in Tom DeLay protection racket. Tom's done. Now let's clean House!

DeLay aide cops a plea

Genius of Insanity reports on Tony Rudy, the Tom DeLay henchman whose pled guilty to fraud. He helped Jack Abramoff defraud Indian tribes while bribing members of Congress. Looks like a whole bunch of guys are getting ready to testify against Marilyn Musgrave's patron, Tom DeLay.

But that doesn't go far enough, thinks the Genius, since a lot of cogs in the DeLay machine need clearing out.
The path to competing and winning against the corporate conservative money machine is to donate online or otherwise to your local candidate for the House or Senate. In our house hold we set aside $10 each month to donate to our House district candidate Angie Paccione who is fighting the bigot Marilyn Musgrave here in Colorado. Ten dollars may not sound like much but if all of us donate what ever we can to our democratic candidates (or outside your state if you race isn't competative) then we have a good shot at over-coming corporate money to win back checks and balances of this out-of-control president. We need to reverberate this idea to furthest corners of the blogosphere. Together we can send honest and responsible Democrats into Washington on a wave of grassroots activism to clean up this mess.
What he said.

Lend a hand. Throw some spare change in the jar on your right. Musgrave must go!

Wuz you home schooled by Marilyn Musgrave?

With more acheivements like this . . . .

When election year rolls around, constituents have long become used to the convenient appearance of big, glossy, taxpayer-financed "reports" from her congressional office. So we get to pay for a propaganda piece lauding a do-nothing Congresswoman that is blatantly timed to affect the election. This even after all sorts of criticism for Musgrave's abuse of franking privileges. They don't even care anymore how it looks politically.

But the 2006 entry makes this ritual political abuse worth it. Mike Peters of the Greeley Trib:
Wee got a telefone call dis week also, from Marilyn her self! an it wuz a recording, so she din't haf to rite anythin and wory abot mispeling anyting. She din't say if the fone calls were payed for wit taxpaiers' money.

So, weed like to tel Marilyn to jist stick to telefone calls and raydeo and TeeVee, so she won't lok as silley as the Trybune when she mispells big words like Acheivement. In 2-inch leters.

We gif this advyse for yew, Marilyn, jest becuz we ar yore frends.

P.S. We lyke yore Acheivements.
Guess Marilyn forgot that old elementary spelling rule. Maybe she gave up on public schools a little too quickly.

There are probably many more such "priceless" moments to come from Marilyn Musgrave this year. Keep it up!

(P.S. - Now it looks like a double-edge sword that your e-mail list is so big, doesn't it?)
