Arkansas Valley to benefit from appropriations bill
Funding for water conduit, Ports to Plains included

On Tuesday The United States Senate followed by the House of Representatives on Wednesday, passed an omnibus appropriations bill securing key funding sources for several projects throughout the Arkansas Valley and eastern plains.

Projects receiving funding through the appropriations bill include the Arkansas Valley Conduit and the Ports to Plains project. The omnibus spending bill also included a provision placing a one year moratorium on the proposed expansion of the Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site.

But with no help to Marilyn Musgrave:

Republican Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, U.S. District 4, voted against the legislation.
