Education? Not so much.

Unfortunately, this paper isn't really online, but Marilyn Musgrave just had a bizarre interview with the Fort Collins Weekly.
. . . a recent interview with Musgrave, who telephoned from Washington D.C., was cut short when she had to attend to other matters. Although the Fort Collins Weekly offered to continue the interview at another time to allow her to more fully highlight her accomplishments, Musgrave never called back.
Since Musgrave sits on the Education Committee, her "accomplishments" here are particularly noteworthy:
For one thing, despite having strong feelings about education--she is married to a schoolteacher and has served on local school boards as well as the House Education Committee--she can't immediately name anything she's done for schools in her time in Congress.
"I'm not thinking of anything on the federal level right now, I'm sorry, " she says when asked what she's done to reduce the impact of the federal No Child Left Behind Act on rual schools even thouh she says she favors more flexibility in the law."

Good grief. Even as a politician she falls short.

When's the last time you heard one of those chair-warmers at a loss for words when it came to themselves?

Nuts.
